Homeland Security Mapping
Every community has facilities that are critical, from emergency response to safety operations. GIS applications such as orthorectified topographic base maps, remote sensing data, and vector layers (i.e., roads, rivers, buildings) are now the basis for assessing security risks and modeling emergency scenarios. Satellite imagery and GIS data is critical to homeland security because it enables managers, supervisors and emergency personnel to integrate multiple information types into a common visual application.

Combining stereo satellite imagery and terrain elevation databases SIC can create stunning true-color 3D terrain visualization models of any location for flight training, battlefield management, mission rehearsal, research, and other activities which provide vital information for aerial mission planners and command information systems.
Detailed knowledge of the terrain is a key factor for successful military operations. Stereo satellite image data is a source of reliable, regularly updated information which gives a realistic and objective view of the terrain indispensable for mission planning.
Our data products are used in a variety of applications:
- Strategic, tactical and operations
- Combat missions
- Route planning
- Training and simulations
- Air, sea, and land navigation
- Command, control, communications, and intelligence operations
- Modeling and simulation
Satellite Imaging Corporation (SIC) has built a reputation on the quality and precision of the work we've delivered. From the retrieval of imaging data to the final image processing, we understand the need for impeccable accuracy and image quality for your mapping and information requirements.
SIC provides orthorectified satellite imagery which can be processed for visualization of terrain conditions in 3 Dimensions (3D) or a Digital Elevation Model (DEMs). DEMs generated from high resolution stereo satellite image data can be used to correct for relief displacement effects which are an important factor for accurate registration.
Satellite Imaging Corporation (SIC) is familiar with the various survey data and mapping projections from around the world. We have performed projects throughout Africa, Europe, North America, South America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
Rapid Acquisition/Rush Tasking
RUSH tasking orders for satellite image data around the world are accepted by SIC in support of live events, natural disasters, global security, and various other applications in which FAST delivery of image data is critical. In most instances, we can provide image data within 24 hours after the initial data has been acquired and delivered via FTP and DVD media. A Spanish version is also available at http://www.satimagingcorp.es.
