Satellite Imaging Corporation has opportunities for Contractors and Consultants

To support Satellite Imaging Corporation (SIC's) increased Global Satellite Remote Sensing activities we are looking for experienced professionals with Satellite Remote Sensing and GIS processing skills, working as Remote Sensing Contractors or Consultants with full processing capabilities.

Contractors or Consultants can be located in any area around the World with access to fast Broadband FTP Upload and Download capabilities to transfer large compressed Imaging files from Houston, Texas U.S.A. to and from Contractors location.

Contractors or Consultants shall have full Image processing capabilities utilizing a combination of available commercial software tools including, ERDAS Imagine, PCI Geomatica, ATCOR, SOCET SET or ER Mapper . When ATCOR Atmospheric Haze correction processing can not be provided, SIC will provide Image data already processed with ATCOR. Processing services required include:

Bundled Mono Satellite Image data:

• Orthorectification
• Pansharpening/ Fusion
• Mosaicing
• Color Balancing
• Tiling
• 2D Culture extraction - optional
• Generate ArcGIS files - optional

Bundled Stereo Satellite Image data:

• DSM/DEM Extraction and Editing
• Orthorectification
• Pansharpening/ Fusion
• Mosaicing
• Color Balancing
• Tiling
• 3D Culture extraction - optional
• Generate ArcGIS files - optional
• Production of 32 bit Floating Point Geo-Tiff and ASCII X,Y,Z files

Contractors or Consultants must have at least two (2) years of experience processing high and medium resolution Satellite Image data from the following Satellite sensors:

• » IKONOS (Stereo and Mono)
• » QuickBird (Mono)
• » SPOT (Stereo and Mono)
• » ASTER (Stereo and Mono)
• » Landsat 4 TM5 and TM7 (Mono)

Experience with various environmental remote sensing applications, landcover change detection, feature extractions, spectral analysis and NDVI processing capabilities will be advantages.

Contract Fees will be paid in US $ and based on Square Kilometers or number of continuous strips (components) covering the Project area and will be made payable by wire transfer or other preferred means of payment within fourteen (14) days after the processed Image data and Geospatial data products have been received and accepted by SIC. Any local taxes, fees or duties due on payments made to the Contractor are payable by the Contractor or Consultant.

Prior to the acceptance of a Contractor or Consultant, a sample IKONOS Bundled Ortho-Kit data set will be provided to the Contractor, uploaded by FTP and will exist out of two (2) adjacent tiles acquired on the same day to demonstrate Contractors capabilities and quality of work to be delivered to SIC in a timely manner.
