This half-meter resolution image of Hoover Dam, was collected by the GeoEye-1 satellite on January 10, 2009. The dam, completed in 1935, created Lake Mead and is located between Nevada and Arizona on the Colorado River. Satellite imagery is ideally suited for mapping and monitoring large infrastructure projects, disaster response and preparedness, insurance and risk management or for use as a base map with overlay information to support security and facility management operations.
